Hawaii is known for having beautiful weather practically year round. But did you know that there are certain times of the year when it is best, weather-wise, to visit the Aloha state? Most tourists don't take into consideration how the weather will be when they go to Hawaii, and so they do not think about the Hawaii weather. Since we can't possibly predict how the temperatures will be for every single day in Hawaii, we'll be giving you a general guideline for what the weather will be like at different seasons in Hawaii. What's the Outlook?

One of the things that people love about Hawaii is that the weather is rarely bad. In most cases, the forecast for any given day in Hawaii is either mostly sunny or partly cloudy. Even if the forecast is partly cloudy, there will still be at least some sunshine to make it a worthwhile day. Hawaii is the only state in the entire United States to be both in the tropics and surrounded by the ocean. This is largely the reason for Hawaii's incredibly stable weather.

What are the Seasons?

Northern states in the U.S. experience four full seasons. This isn't true when it comes to Hawaii. Hawaii has two main seasons. The first, called KAU, runs from May to October. During this season, the weather is warm, the sun is directly overhead, and the trade winds are most stable. The other season, known as HOO-ILO, goes from November to April. The weather is cooler during these months, the sun is south and the trade winds are a bit crazier.

What are the Temperatures?

It's practically impossible to tell you what the temperatures will be for each season. You just can't be precise because there is such a great variation. What we can tell you is that the high temperatures during the summer months in Hawaii range from the 60s to the 90s. The low temperatures typically range from the mid 40s to upper 70s.What temperature it is will depend on where in Hawaii you are located. If you are looking for the warmest temperatures, Maui is usually a very safe bet. If, however, you want cooler temperatures, you might want to consider another Hawaiian island.

When should I visit?

When the best time for you to visit Hawaii depends on your specific goals for your vacation there. Some activities are best suited for certain times of the year. For instance, surfers may prefer the Hawaii weather during December and January. That's because the winds are usually at their very best during these months. Golfers most enjoy Hawaii during June, July and August. The course conditions are usually perfect during the summer months. If you're looking forward to snorkeling while in Hawaii, you might want to go there anytime between May and August. This is because the water is ideal for snorkeling or practically any other water activity. Likewise, boaters will prefer this time of the year as well.
